Here's another tip: Always plan ahead to take several good photos of your
quilt the minute it's finished! If possible, hang the quilt (if all else
fails, try pinning one edge to the top of your drapes), scoot the furniture
out of the way, and hold the camera as squarely to the quilt as possible,
and on a level with the center of the quilt. Use a tripod if one is available
for super sharp pictures. Also try a couple of shots with the quilt draped
over a chair or put it on the bed, and shoot down from a ladder. Remember
to remove extra clutter from around the quilt-- and, don't forget to take
a shot of the quilter with the quilt.
Even
though Carol is a quilter and photographer, in the past she has let some
of her quilts get away without photos, or in some cases only quick snapshot.
