When it comes to sewing, Cassandra generally leaves that subject to mom. However, as long as someone else does most of the cutting and guides her sewing on a quilt top, she's willing to add a few stitches--especially if it's for her! She feels most comfortable hand quilting.

In high school, at her mom's urging, they teamed up on a car quilt as a gift. At the time, any of Cassandra's schoolmates who dropped by the house found themselves seated at the quilt frame quilting. After it was finished, Cassandra refused to give up the quilt and took it away to college with her!

Cassandra is following in her Great-grandmother Katie's footsteps, with a fine singing voice and in studying to become a teacher. She is currently at the University of Reno, Nevada, specializing in music.
